SESSIONS
how long are sessions?
Sessions will be a full hour. Please arrive 10 minutes before your session time so that we can settle in and get everyone warmed up.
What if we don't make it on time?
Sessions cannot be rescheduled the same day of Client's booking date, but will be able to continue the session with the time remaining. Lost time cannot be rescheduled for another session and cannot be extended the day of.
When will our photos be ready?
You will be able to get your digital downloads in your private online gallery within a week from your session date. If it is a busy month, you can expect to receive your images within 2 weeks. If it is not a busy month, you can expect your images within 2-3 days! They will not take longer than 3 weeks as I try to work on your images immediately.
Can grandparents be a part of any Session?
Yes please! Grandparents are always welcome and at no additional cost...ever. I believe it is crucial for grandparents to be a part of any family session. Yes, even your Maternity session.
Can other family members join in on our Session?
Sessions are offered to one family unit (e.g. parents, kids, grandparents). However, for Sessions with extended family, there is an additional cost for each family member outside of the largest family unit.
Will we be able to bring our pets?
It is up to you! If the location allows pets, I am all for it. Our pets deserve to be in photo memories too! However, if your pet does not cooperate and it takes too much time to get his/her attention since we are outdoors, I would kindly suggest that your pet stays at home. If your pet is too excited to take photos and it is taking up too much time to get his/her attention, your car is always a back up. WINDOWS DOWN!
Do you have wardrobe suggestions?
Yes! I will send you my detailed pinterest link to colors and outfits for the Fall season. Wardrobe is very important as it makes a huge difference in the post-processing of your images. I would highly recommend to go with the options (mainly the colors) in my pinterest link. In terms of style, it is up to you!
Can we book for the weekday instead of saturdays?
Of course! If Saturdays do not work out for you, weekday sessions are an option if I am available on that specific date. Do not hesitate to ask!
Are there different options for locations?
There are a handful of locations I can recommend if you need. If you need more details on the locations, please fill out the questions form and I will get back to you ASAP.
What if there is a sudden weather change?
If the forecast shows that it will be raining or super windy on the day of your session, there will be an option to reschedule for another date/time available. I suggest to wait a week before your date to reschedule because the weather may change again. I am always checking on the weather before your session date so I will keep you updated as well. You can always bring a light jacket/coat that matches as well. It'll be cute either way! Rescheduling because of weather changes must be made within a month from the date of your session.
If there is a family emergency, will we be able to get our money back?
The only option is to reschedule your Session date before the end of 2022. You must have this in writing and I will void the contract and start a new one for you with a new date. If there are no availabilities during the weekend, the weekday is an option as well. I will do my best to open up my week for your desired rescheduled date. If there is absolutely no way to attend your Session, I will email you and discuss another option. All pre-booked locations will remain the same.
Are Sessions only for family photos?
You can book Sessions for Family photos and Maternity photos. All other sessions such as Engagement and Newborn will only be available as a full session.
Can I use a Session to take professional headshots?
Professional headshots are not available during any sessions with KIN & OATH.
Can we request different poses?
I do my best to take a variety of poses for all families. I take every minute with much attention and care. Do not worry. I got you! Towards the end of your session, if there is a traditional family pose, let's do it!
How does payment work?
Once you book, I will send over a contract and an invoice. There is a 50% non-refundable retainer to lock in your date the day that you decide to book. Once the contract is signed and the retainer is paid, I will schedule you in. The remaining balance is due a week before your Session date. Your invoice will send you reminders close to the final due date.
do you use digital or film?
I love digital. However, the post-processing of your images are carefully retouched with a film-like style and a photo-journalism feel.
Do you retouch photos?
Yes, all of your images are carefully retouched individually and reviewed before uploading them onto your private gallery.
Are our images stored with you?
Yes! Your RAW and fully retouched images are in an external hard drive in case of theft, fire, etc. However, please make sure you transfer your images onto at least two hard drives to keep them safe. Your images will be in your private gallery for 1 year.
Do you provide albums?
Currently, I am only offering Fine Art Prints from a trusted printing company. You will receive Fine Art Prints from your desired package.
